r2b2® have immediate opportunities at the IA, Abbey Wood, Bristol. r2b2® require Interoperability Assessors (IOAs) to join our team tasked with supporting IPTs and the DECs by scrutinising project’s strategies and plans for achieving interoperability.
Tasks will include recommending priorities for project assessments, acquainting IPTs on the purpose and process of the IO assessment, drafting assessment Work Package Plans taking account of the project’s stage in the CADMID cycle and most importantly undertaking IO assessments. Consultants will be ably assisted and supported by r2b2®‘s on-site team including our Director of Consulting, John Dewar and our off site support consultant Dr Bob Ballard.
Individuals will need to be flexible team players with excellent communication skills, be able relate to operational and system domains, have a good knowledge of the MoD AoF/AMS and an understanding of CONOPS, URDs, SRDs, TLMPs and ITEAPS.

Interoperability Assessor (Feb 23, 2008)

Our MOD client requires an IOA Consultant. Our Client has the overall responsibility for realising and addressing integration and interoperability issues during the procurement process.
The IOA Consultant role involves the holistic examination of how well a Project is addressing Interoperability and its integration into MOD Enterprise and Battlespace.
The Consultant will check the context, maturity and Coherency of the Project.
A working knowledge of Acquisition Management System, a sound understanding of CIS Principles and experience of working in a military environment are required.

International client is looking for an experienced Senior Systems Security Engineer to join their busy expanding team. Your role will be varied and will be actively involved in the security domain, ensuring up-to date knowledge and involvement of multiple different standards covering but not limited to BS7799/ISO 17799, INFOSEC, ITSEC, COMSEC, COMPUSEC, Common Criteria, Risk Management and Disaster Recovery. You will also be required to provide and document security solutions using appropriate tools and techniques, representation of security engineering to internal engineering, customer and regulatory bodies, be fully conversant with the requirements of the standard processes and documents in force. IT Infrastructure Architect – SC cleared, – COTS – J2EE – .NET – Wales. My client a major Defence contractor is looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Architect to initially help with a bid programme to design Infrastructure and interfaces for the end-to-end data services. Following this you will provide expertise with any further bids and projects that have an IT Infrastructure component. Responsibilities include: design of large scale system architectures and integration mechanisms for Legacy systems, liaising with the customer to establish key elements and requirements, building and managing systems, system upgrades and maintenance releases, ensuring system integrity and standards are maintained and problem reporting.
The ideal applicant must be trained in the use of mainstream COTS integration methodologies, trained and experienced in systems analysis methods, and must be a member of a professional body such as IEE or BCS.
Candidates must also have experience in software development and 3 years experience architecting enterprise-level N-tier applications in a J2EE or .NET framework. This is an excellent opportunity with interview slots available immediately. Candidates must have current transferable clearance to at least SC level or must be willing to be cleared.

The successful applicant should have knowledge of product support in a defence/government agency or contractor and be looking to move into a more consultative role involving delivering successful deployment of a key product and related products to an extensive client base.
